Poem 09 of 35

The voice of the sea

The voice of the sea is mysterious and deep;

His bellows are enough to sway the mountain’s frosty keep.

The whales swim beneath Lord North up so high,

And give way for twilight’s lusty gleam so very shy.

The night blushes as the open sea calls forth

To his beloved companion who seeks his worth.

She answers and sends her rain till the brisk of dawn;

He is comforted by her peaceful droplets of love.

The tempest winds settle down before letting out a silent yawn;

The moon too must settle as light shines from above.

The creatures of yonder yore can never be far away

From such yearning light that gives life to all,

Even to the voice of the sea who reigns supreme and stands tall.
