Winter’s Prelude

A wintery mist comes along;

her icy chill to sing a song.

Icicles clasp the trees around;

gazing through night without a sound.

A howling wind shivers and shakes;

the rivers yield to a frozen lake.

Barren wasteland covered in snow;

sleeping silently for memories to show.

For such is her song to sing;

a lone hope she desires to bring.

Notes pick up at a glare;

giving no heed for despair.

Her voice raises to high and low;

tranquilizing effects spring up below.

Yet peace remains in a small simple form;

of a beating heart that grows forever warm.
