Poem 14 of 35

The Trodden Path

I tread along the trodden path;

Impatient thoughts streak from behind.

Blinded minds driven as a chaff;

Before the wind to where unity seeks to find.

There’s nothing left to hide;

Except memories hallowed up by pride.

Misused titles often get misplaced;

No level of eye to be traced.

Thought of words distilled to speak;

Darts of anger softly leak;

To poison a gently heart.

For darkness seeks to tear us apart.
