Poem 15 of 35

Gracefully Imperfected

Within the moonlight a black rose blooms;

A scent of depression so very gloom.

A void of howls that tear

Through the silent screams of willow so fair.

The beating heart so fragile;

Lost away in darkness so agile.

Faded faces cry aloud

In the midst of a shapeless cloud.

Pierced by fiery darts

Through mystic memories of endless art.

Gazing at the path before,

I behold the carnage and gore.

A sinister laugh doesn’t play fair,

As I awake to behold my nightmare.

I pray to be resurrected;

To leave this body so gracefully imperfected.
