Poem 38 of 38
Simple
A breeze and a lonely tree,
I sit here and think:
“Am I truly free?”
The seed under the mountain,
I choose to stay.
Life holds purpose,
perhaps among the trees
or the listless shore.
Alive I am, though one day I shall die.
Winds to dance with the midnight sun,
a quest to fuel the why.
’Tis not always as the waves of the sea.
Feel the wind, feel the spirit,
feel the light to be free.
A love unhinged beyond the dust.
It’s simple with a loving trust.
