Poem 11 of 35
Lightning Bolt Flower
The wind dances across the ocean of blue.
Lightning and heart, a flower blooms in view.
Rainstorms come and rainstorms go.
I caught a bolt of lightning:
shadows of me and you.
Yesterday's hand smiles.
Tomorrow is drifting apart,
drifting toward the painted dreams we now hold.
Moonlight and forgotten roses now become old.
Lost but not remembered,
twilight mirrors Monday's story.
Focused on thought,
piercing my heart to write the allegory.
Pages are turned, pages to remember,
pages of spring, pages through December.
The course of the sun.
Light and shadow become one.
Light hits the sphere.
Light draws near.
Nearer to thought, nearer to poem.
Letters sprout from words
and are crafted into home.
Lightning bolt flower.
Lightning bolt hour.
Horizon drapes purple across the sky.
Colors left out, left to wonder why.
No reason for some, no reason for one.
Lightning bolt flowers blend with the sun.
