Poem 34 of 35
Lateral Thoughts and Moon Shine
A skip's throw along the creek holds a clue.
Winter's thoughts transpire as the snow has grown old.
Clefts of white turn to dust when flowers settle in.
Can you hear it?
A faint beating heart signals us to begin.
Soon enough, the storm will rattle the sky.
Ashes sink when the seasons are ready to die.
New birth arises from seed to root.
They bury their hopes lateral to the moon, a sounding from her flute.
Wings flutter, tracing the sun.
Flying here and there as the raining sounds become one.
Lift me up from the coast with a golden hand.
Search for what cannot be found within the land.
Trees spring up; dawn is not far behind.
Whispering truths of love that inspire dreams to be kind.
How can the lofty rivers know?
The silver moon shines with all her waves aglow.
Summer and autumn hold a place too, but theirs is not yet.
For now, spring fuels the forge for hearts to flow.
