Poem 04 of 35

Just a dream

I dream of dreams most every night;

Unwashed reality so out of sight.

Mystic spirals of dancing trees,

A spectrum abyss among the seven seas.

I drift aloft space painted with wings to fly,

To sleep through life and never go by.

A hollow voice calls my way;

Silent whispers polished away.

The tick of a grandfather rings aloud,

Shattering bells to strip the proud.

I fall away, enchanted by Autumn;

Gravity sifts through, excluding the bottom.

Moonlight beams upon a desert rose bloom;

Its rays scatter all hopes of gloom.

Shadows lurking among the pine,

Dancing between a river of wine.

From dusk to dawn a sparkling twilight gleam—

Worries me not, for all was just a dream.
