Poem 06 of 43

Moon Drops

Moon drops swell

Starlight fell

In winter's masquerade

Beyond the everglade

Imagination in time

A heartless chime

Through streaming divine

Imagine a frozen lake

Timeless guardians forsake

Will and pleasure

Esteemed beyond measure

Moon drops faded

Scarlet tears shaded

My mind swallowed

Treasured thoughts hallowed

I trod along

Life’s untouched song

Not much said

As I sleep

Desiring to keep

Child’s pure love

A little poetry for the quiet hours
