Poem 01 of 35
Preface
The dawn before dust
settled through spoken clouds.
A preface of story written by ink,
but never too proud.
When the light settles,
a rattle can be heard.
My heart, fused with words,
falls off the shelf.
Numbers rise toward the sun.
Our faith divided
always reflects toward one.
Leaves fall as they will.
Seeds will rise again.
Our troubles become gravity,
a moment with us.
Let this thought bring forth spring,
not a chill.
The winds travel down the barren hall.
One truth eternal:
light shines for all.
A spark and promise divine.
Her spark travels to the place
where the grandfather oak weaves light
to gather roots.
The clock spins around.
I look up the hall.
The weeks spin into one,
a star without a sound.
A world lost in time.
The tree of white
embraces winter and fall.
Hearth through fire and ice.
Water frozen to blue.
Just another preface:
a hero's bridge from heart to you.
